Losers Walking Tour

exhibition Thursday, 7-7.45pm Friday, 7-7.45pm Saturday, 2-2.45pm Sunday, 2-2.45pm

Losers Walking Tour uses the streets of Homerton as a gallery space for paintings of discarded lottery tickets, scratchcards and betting stubs by local artist Mark Siebert. The artist has maps and a soundtrack to guide viewers around the exhibition that begins at Homerton Station. Mark Siebert’s Losers paintings are tinged with sadness and sweetness. These are little hymns to hope, excitement, loss and instant gratification turned sour; the record of an impulse triggered. Having recently exhibited these paintings the artist has taken them back to the streets where the images were found, with daily-guided tours during the Art Licks Weekend. Losers Walking Tour gives oil painting the opportunity to find an audience outside of the white walls of gallery spaces.

Tours run: 7–7:45pm 2/3 October, 2-2:45pm 4/5 October. Bring headphones and look for the artist waiting by Homerton Station. Details and a daily blog visit
