‘Drawing Round Things’ is a limited edition artist book and 7” vinyl record, produced on the occasion of artist and writer Tamarin Norwood’s solo exhibition ‘what the point is : the end of the line’. The exhibition develops a chain of analogies between the tip of the pen/cil, the first person singular, the line of sight and the I-beam cursor. The accompanying book and record is a catalogue of all the round things in the exhibition. ‘Drawing Round Things’ plays on the needle’s similarity to the tip of the pencil as they move across paper and vinyl respectively, describing and reproducing form. At the launch, the record will offer a temporary soundtrack to the exhibition, accompanied by a reading of three short texts by the artist.
