Word in Transit #6 Toy Story – event
Word In Transit event – meeting at Bethnal Green Overground Station
Three Colts Lane, London E2 6JL, UK
Saturday 19 October, 4pm–4.30pm

The characters in Toy Story have very distinct roles and personalities although they are bound together – from Woody plotting and staging their escape, with one member of the group taking control, to all of them cooperating together to hide whenever Andy arrives back home.
An overground train will be transformed by a group of Toy Story cladded artists. Each individual artist working within the Toy Story theme, while the public receive and become a part of the shared moment. The relationship between interdependence and Toy Story’s narrative of friendship, will be communicated directly, with works creatively challenging and playfully responding to the narrative and aesthetic of the Toy Story films.
Word in Transit invites you to join the group on this journey on the overground. Performances will happen during the course of the journey, taking place between each tube stop.
After the performances artists and audience members will arrive at Gaff Space for an accompanying exhibition, where more performance will take place amongst two dimensional and video works. The exhibition will be open from 5:30-9pm.
Meet at Bethnal Green Overground Station at 4pm, travel on the overground to Wood Street Station.
