Date

Sunday 7 October, 5pm–6pm

The 117th Badgerscouts curate a performance showcase on the subject of preparation, taking place on the Overground from Liverpool Street.

Between each stop to Walthamstow Central – towards the Epping Forest – five artists (visiting scout leaders) will give performances to prepare the audience (prospective Badgerscouts) for their expedition, and the peripheries of the art world.

We will meet on the concourse at Liverpool Street Station where troupe educational material will be distributed and the Badgerscout Promise will be taken. The scout leaders will then take everyone northbound on the Overground towards the Epping Forest. The final stop will be Walthamstow Central, where we will leave the train.

The scout leaders giving performances are: Tom Cassani, Julia Collington, Lily Hudson, Zoe Toolan, Will Dalton & Billy Sassi.

The 117thBadgerscouts is a project set up by Billy Sassi and Will Dalton that takes the form of a scout troupe to investigate the dynamics of leadership, teamwork and the performance of identity. We are hosting and curating this edition of Word in Transit.

Word in Transit is an artist led performance platform that takes place on a public train carriage. It relishes DIY, amateurish and low-tech performances that are created with ingenuity and creativity.
